According to an overview study including 14 studies which reported on 2111 injuries, shoulder, lower back and hand wrist were most commonly injured. Shoulder mostly during gymnastic movements and lower back during weightlifting. The biggest risk factor for getting injured in crossfit is actually the time you have been participating in the sport. The longer participation, the less chance of getting injured. Therefore, novice athletes should get proper supervision from a coach in order to learn correct technique and scale accordingly.
