š As a father myself, it always boggled my mind to see how resilient and adaptable the female body is.
š In this new study, the effect of pregnancy on training volume and performance was put into numbers and the results are pretty extraordinary.

āIn 60% of all runners who intended to return to equivalent performance levels post- pregnancy, there was no statistical decrease in performance in the 1 to-3 years post compared to pre-pregnancy, and 46% improved performances post-pregnancy."
š” So in most of the elite runners, pregnancy did not negatively affect performance and in some of them, it gave them super powers. Simply incredible.
